Create Your Meta Business Account

Set up the Meta business portfolio and ad account you'll need to run Facebook and Instagram ads with Outbound.

To run Facebook and Instagram ads with us, you first need your own Meta business portfolio (formerly called Business Manager) and an ad account inside it. Meta requires that you own the ad account, so this is a quick step you set up yourself — we can't create it for you. The good news: you keep full ownership, and once it's set up, adding us takes about a minute.

The short version: At business.facebook.com, create a business portfolio and an ad account. Then give Outbound access and we take it from there. Already run Facebook/Instagram ads? You probably have these already — skip ahead to giving us access.

What's a business portfolio?

A business portfolio is the home for your business's Meta assets — your ad account, Facebook Page, Instagram account, and Meta Pixel (the tracking that measures results) — all in one place, with control over who can access them. It's free, and it's how businesses (and their partners, like us) manage Facebook and Instagram professionally instead of from a personal profile.

Meta renamed "Business Manager" to "business portfolio," so you'll see both terms floating around — they mean the same thing.

Step 1 — Create your business portfolio

Go to business.facebook.com and create a business portfolio. Use your real business name and a business email, since you'll be the owner and admin.

Tip: If you already manage your Facebook Page or run ads, you may already have a portfolio. Check at business.facebook.com/settings before creating a new one — you don't want two.

Step 2 — Add an ad account

Inside Business Settings → Accounts → Ad accounts, choose Add → Create a new ad account. Name it after your business, and set the currency and time zone carefully — Meta won't let you change these later.

Next: give us access

Once your portfolio and ad account exist, you're ready to add Outbound as a partner so we can build and manage your campaigns:
